Invitations
Any invitations with these images are striking for a bowling party: bowling ball, bowling pins, bowling shoes, and score paper and pen.

Decorations
If thereís a party room at the bowling alley, or you will be celebrating before or afterwards at your home, decorate the space by using plastic toy bowling sets on tables as centerpieces. Draw oversized score cards on large paper and tape them to the walls. For a whimsical look, dangle toy plastic bowling pins from the ceiling by tying a string around the neck of each pin and tacking the end of the string up.

Activities
While bowling is the main attraction at this party, you can add to the fun by bowling one regular game, followed by one game using silly rules, such as: whoever gets the first split wins; or whoever gets a strike loses their turn! To keep the games rolling along smoothly, limit the number of partygoers per game in each lane to four; this way, everyone can have a turn more quickly.

Snacks
Roll the ball, then roll out the snacks! Anything roll-related will work: sandwiches on rolls, cinnamon rolls, fruit roll-ups. Check ahead of time whether you can bring your own food into the bowling alley; if not, save the goodies until after the gameís over.

Cake
For a fast and easy cake, simply turn a plain round cake into a bowling ball by decorating it with dark-colored icing, then carving out three finger holes. Or, use an icing tube to draw a bowling lane with ball and pins on a rectangular white cake. More ambitious bakers can create a cake in the shape of a bowling pin that will bowl guests over!

Goody Bags
Turn a goody bag containing a few treats into something extra-special by adding a gift certificate good for one free game at the lanes the next time your guest goes bowling.

Thank-youís
Match your thank-you notes to your invitation, or choose a complementary design. Then let your child sign his or her name to each note. Donít forget to mention what the gift was that youíre thanking the person for -- and how much your child enjoyed it! Itís also nice to enclose the guestís scorecard as a memento of your bowling party.
